چکیده
Large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) of the ovary is an uncommon gynaecological malignancy with aggressive clinical course.1 In most instances ovarian LCNEC associated a surface epithelial tumour or mature cystic teratoma.2 Mixed and high grade serous (HGSC) exceedingly rare subentity, only handful cases identified in literature.1 We report case 56-year-old female who presented four week history postmenopausal bleeding mild abdominal distension. Investigations revealed 16 cm solid left mass no evidence extra-pelvic malignancy. The patient underwent total hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy, pelvic lymph node biopsy, peritoneal biopsy omentectomy. Microscopic examination demonstrated composite (98%) HGSC (2%) ovary. endometrium showed focal involvement by HGSC. Serous tubal intraepithelial (STIC) right fallopian tube invasive extending into adherent was identified, keeping tubo-ovarian origin. received adjuvant chemotherapy. Comparative molecular analysis different components via immunohistochemistry microsatellite instability testing on microdissected paraffin embedded tissue ongoing. References 1. Case report: A Metastatic Transitional Cell Carcinoma of the Ovary
Background: Transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) is a rare type of ovarian epithelial cancer. This type of ovarian cancer accounts for only 1% of superficial epithelial carcinomas. Ovarian cancer is a major clinical challenge in obstetrics and gynecology. The reason of this is the lack of specific symptoms for ovarian cancer before the recurrence and progression of the tumor, so many cases are not...

Gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma is a rare tumor which has a poor prognosis. Herein, we present a 55-year-old woman who presented with complaints of recurrent vomiting, hematemesis and weight loss. Endoscopic examination showed a large ulcerated mass in the antrum. Microscopic evaluation of the specimen taken through biopsy was compatible with a small round cell tumor. However, definitive histo...
متن کاملPrimary Endometrial High Grade Neuroendocrine Carcinoma: A Case Report with Cytological, Histopathological and Immunohistochemical Features
An 84-year-old woman suffered from post-menopausal genital bleeding for 3 months. Based on the endometrial cytological findings (suggestive of high grade neuroendocrine carcinoma) showing that there were rosette-like and cord-like structures consisting of small rounded tumor cells with oval nuclei and scanty cytoplasm, radical hysterectomy was performed. Histopathological and immunohistochemica...
متن کاملHepatocellular Carcinoma and High Grade Neuroendocrine Carcinoma: A Case Report and Review of the Literature
We describe a rare hepatic collision tumor composed of a hepatocellular carcinoma and a high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma. The patient, a 68-year-old man, underwent a partial hepatectomy because of a 4.0 cm mass. The tumor had two distinctive patterns. The majority of the tumor was a high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma with features of a small cell carcinoma that was positive for chromogranin...
